Online Graduate Degree FAQ

Can I qualify for financial aid if I take online courses?

Answer: Yes, a student is able to qualify for Federal student aid if they take courses at a DETC accredited institution. Types of online degree financial aid include:

  1. Graduate Stafford Loans. The government will pay the interest while you are in graduate school and you don't have to make payments until your graduate.
  2. Grad Plus Student Loans. They have a fixed low interest rate and you don't have to pay them back until you graduate but the interest does build up while you are in graduate school.
  3. Graduate Private Student Loans. These have low fixed interest rates but only a 6-month grace period so you will have to begin paying them back while you are in school.
